Abstract :

This paper approaches security applications for digital image and video processing. The techniques involve Video Compression, Elliptical Curve Cryptography Encryption Algorithm followed by Image Interleaving, and  Pixel Integration to generate integrated multi-video. User can select one of the several videos displayed simultaneously with a unique key for each video. With the key specifically generated for the video, the original video is decrypted from multiple image/videos.

Abstract :

This study proposes to carry out a critical and economic analysis of agrifood products supply in cotonou city, with a target constituted by supermarket and groceries. In order to understand what justifies the predominance of agrifood products in foreign character compared to the "same" locally produced,we used  experimental investigation techniques based on a questionnaire and calculated the coefficientof elasticity of the demand relative to the price of imported agrifood products and those manufactured locally using econometric formula. The results reveal that local supply would be much more preferred but is lower than local demand, also local do not bring all the necessary commercial packaging for conditioning. Additionally it turned out that the 1% increase in the price of agri-food products sold in the companies surveyed, compared to the market price for the same products, will lead to an increase in demand of 0.4% for products. imports and 0.12% for domestically produced products. we understand that these products can be considered as luxury goods by their potential consumers and therefore they are intended for a higher class of people. The findings supports the economic theory an increase in price of luxury goods doesn't lead to the increase of the demand of those goods

Abstract :

The statistics of lower limb amputation is rising across the globe and continues to be a major threat to morbidity and mortality. In Malaysia, amputation prevalence has been increasing in which several main components of service delivering aspects should be anticipated to accommodate the increasing demand, such as service intervention and prosthetic personnel. The objectives of this project are to (i) design a lower limb socket for amputated leg according to size of residual limb, (ii) analyze the performance of the socket at different materials and (iii) fabricate the lower limb socket using 3D printing technology. Several phases of design process were conducted including product development and computational analysis and fabrication. The design stage had modeled the socket layers, which can be obtained from 3D scan or CT-scan images. The analysis stage will evaluate the performance of the product based on the material used and the set-up procedure conducted. Resulting stress and deformation were measured to propose the best design and will be fabricate using 3D printing technology by considering the best suit of material and set-up as per obtained in the analysis.

Abstract :

The strategic steps involved in production of refractory bricks for lining of foundry furnaces from entrepreneurial point of view have been examined.  From the perspective of chemical composition, the three existing types of refractories are discussed with their suitable applications mentioned.  The reviewed literatures revealed that appreciable percentage of our refractory needs especially the basic types are sourced abroad.  This revelation consequently opens a good opportunity for prospective investors as materials required for production of the refractories are locally available in abundance.  The technical steps involved in production of refractory bricks are itemized and discussed.  The notable refractory mineral deposits in Nigeria are provided and firing temperatures of common refractory bricks are also provided.  The necessary laboratory tests to ascertain the quality and suitability of selected refractory deposits which are expected to meet ASTM standard are also provided. The business procedure is enumerated while the strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in refractory bricks production business are examined using SWOT analysis. It was concluded that the potentials of refractory’s production business has not been fully explored in Nigeria as foundry industry which is the largest consumer of the product is growing progressively.  Hence, this can be a very good business opportunity for interested investors.  The information provided in this study shall be very useful in harnessing the solid minerals potential of Nigeria and enhance economic development and diversification
