Abstract :

With the advancements in the field of communication technology, it has been seen that many different architectures and configurations of antenna have emerged. One of the most popular type of antenna is the Dielectric Resonator Antenna (DRA) which has been quite prominent in most modern high speed communication applications. Although, the design of DRA in various geometric forms have already been accomplished, the methodology for the design which is followed is not at all systematic. In this paper, we have carefully analyzed the theoretical model of a DRA and have proposed various mathematical methods for its analysis. The methods proposed herein can reduce the complexity of analysis and design of circuits involving DRAs. Furthermore, we also show system level implementation of a cylindrical DRA which can serve as a benchmark for microwave and millimeter wave communication circuit designs.

Abstract :

Data Mining is a method that requires analyzing and exploring large blocks of data to glean meaningful trends and patterns. In today’s life, every person on earth relies on allopathic treatments and medicines. Data mining techniques can be applied to medical databases that have a huge scope of opportunity for textual as well as visual data. Medical errors are generally costly and harmful. They caused a large number of deaths worldwide annually. A clinical decision support system offers the opportunity to reduce medical errors and also to improve patients safety. Certainly, one of the most crucial facet in applying such a system is the diagnosis and therapy for heart diseases. Data mining classification techniques are implemented to analyze the different kinds of heart based problems. This paper is objective at developing a heart disease prediction system using data mining clustering techniques. The health’s care system is "data rich" however "knowledge poor". This healthcare data can be used to extract knowledge for antecedently disease prediction. Currently data mining techniques are widely used in clinical expert systems for prediction of various types diseases. These techniques discovers the hidden relationships and patterns of the healthcare data. Thus, a gesture to the make use of knowledge and experience of several specialists and clinical screening data of patients composed in databases to relieve the diagnosis procedure regarded as a great challenge. The healthcare system industry gathers enormous amounts of heart disease data that unfortunately, didn’t mine to determine concealed information for effective diagnosing.

Abstract :

Induction heating of parts by eddy currents is widely used in mass production due to high speed, localization of the selective heating zone. Improving the efficiency of induction heating of parts in the air gap of the magnetic circuit is associated with the use of surface and edge effects. Through modeling in ANSYS Electromagnetics Suite 19.2. and experimental studies identified patterns of edge effect in the heated parts. To ensure the uniformity of induction heating of small parts and reduce the soldering time, the electrical switch of soldered parts is used, which with the help of  device controller forms a secondary circuit with low electrical resistance and high density of eddy currents

Abstract :

Tongue Drive system (TDS) is a tongue-operated unobtrusive assistive technology, which can potentially provide people with severe disabilities with effective computer access and environment control.

It translates users’ intentions into control commands by detecting and classifying their voluntary tongue motion utilizing a small permanent magnet, secured on the tongue, and an array of magnetic sensors mounted on a headset outside the mouth or an orthodontic brace inside.

We have developed customized interface circuitry and implemented four control strategies to drive a powered wheel chair (PWC) using an external TDS prototype.

The magnetic sensors are nothing but hall-effect sensors. A Hall Effect sensor is a transducer that varies its output voltage in response to changes in magnetic field. In its simplest form, the sensor operates as an analogue transducer, directly returning a voltage. With a known magnetic field, its distance from the Hall plate can be determined.

The control system consists of Hall Effect sensor and microcontroller. Microcontroller collects data from the sensor and Microcontroller makes to move the motors of the wheel chair in appropriate direction. The direction is decided by the microcontroller depending on the magnet present at different Hall Effect sensors. The microcontroller is loaded with intelligent program written using embedded ‘C’ language
