Abstract :

The period of February-August 2026 witnessed simultaneous disruptions across six critical maritime chokepoints, creating the most complex logistics environment since 2008. This paper quantifies the 2026 crisis with specificity: per-vessel financial impacts ($847K-$2.1M), port-level congestion metrics, and chokepoint ranking. It develops a 2026-2030 geographic risk outlook using heatmaps and forecasts. Finally, it proposes a three-pillar mitigation framework for EPC supply chains: market intelligence integration, flexible logistics contracting, and data-driven scenario planning. An implementation roadmap enables 72-96 hour response times to emerging disruptions.
